Egypt constitution vote set for January

Egypt is reportedly set to vote for a new constitution in January 2014.

According to reports, a referendum on a new constitution will be held on the 14th and 15th of January 2014.

The state-run MENA news agency allegedly quoted interim president Adly Mansour on Saturday.

The draft constitution will apparently ban religious parties and put more power in the military.

This come months after the military ousted democratically elected president Mohamed Morsy in July causing a series of violent protests.
